Trend-Proof Your Wardrobe: How to Wear What’s Hot

Is your Instagram feed buzzing about a different trend every day? It can get overwhelming. As a curator for a community of fabulous women ranging from the ages of 15 to 50, I don’t want you chasing every trend! I want to find trends that are sticking around and show you how to make them work for YOU.

The goal is not to reinvent your closet at the beginning of every new week – it is to add elements into your look that feel fun, new, and exciting. My curated edit of three adaptable trends, and how to make them work for YOU, sits below.

Trend 1: The Elevated Cargo
Say goodbye to the baggier, utilitarian cargo pant. The new cargo pant is all about sharp, simple silhouettes, and you will find them in fabrics like linen, or soft, drapey twill.

For the twenty-something trendsetter: A cropped tank and chunky sneakers.

For the thirty-to-forty-something professional: A crisply pressed white button-down, a structured blazer, and sleek loafers.

For the chic fifty-something: Cargo-style skirt, a simple knit, and stylish sandals.

Trend 2: The Statement Red
It’s not just a color; it’s a mood. This season is focused on a pop of impactful red.

Starting small: If wearing red from head to toe feels overwhelming, start with accessories. Add a pop of red with a handbag or bold new shoes and add red to any neutral outfit.

Ready to commit? A red linen dress is a classic and worthwhile investment that can take you anywhere from weekend brunch to date night.

Trend 3: Quiet Luxury
This is all about the best tailoring, luxurious fabrics, and neutrals. This is less about the label and more about the feeling.

The universal piece: A good, ivory knit sweater is ageless. A teenager would look just as great in it thrown over denim as her mother would paired with high-quality trousers.

Our intention was to help with self-expression, not mimicry. Identify the trends that speak to you and put your own spin on them.
